Arabic Immersion Programs in Rabat
Our immersion programs are designed for students who want to spend an extended period in Morocco while developing their Arabic through study and everyday life. The experience combines structured Arabic instruction with opportunities to use the language beyond the classroom and engage with Moroccan society and culture.
Living in Rabat gives students the time and environment to make Arabic part of their daily routine, as they interact with teachers, language partners, host families, local institutions, and the wider community, encountering the language in a variety of real-life contexts while becoming familiar with life in Morocco. At the same time, the program offers opportunities to explore the country, build relationships, and take part in activities that complement classroom learning, with accommodation, cultural activities, excursions, volunteering, and other elements of the experience arranged as part of the program.
What will you experience?
- Study Modern Standard Arabic in small groups, twenty lessons a week
- Use Arabic in everyday situations beyond the classroom
- Build familiarity with Moroccan culture and daily life
- Gain experience using Arabic in a variety of social and cultural contexts

- Progress through a modern Arabic curriculum, advance to higher levels, and earn a certificate documenting your achievement

The Winter program includes
20 hours of Modern Standard Arabic per week
A language partner twice a week
Two hours a week of one-to-one tuition
The official ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (programs of eight weeks and longer), full assessment and a transcript
Cultural activities complement classroom learning, offering opportunities to practice Arabic while discovering Moroccan culture.
Timetable
Four hours of class per day, Monday to Friday
A break of approximately 30 minutes is provided during the morning.

Pricing
One total per program, without accommodation. Program students can add accommodation at a single rate of $155 per week, host family or student residence.
- Winter Session (4 weeks): $1,270 per program
Electives are optional: you can add a Content course or Area studies to your program.
In-house cultural activities, including cooking, calligraphy, zellige, and discussion groups, are included for all students, with at least one free activity each week. See our cultural program
Accommodation
We arrange accommodation in a host family or student residence, booked separately from the program fees at a single rate of $155 per week for program students.
